Privacy information for the Wayfinder website

The Wayfinder has been designed to offer users the greatest possible privacy while navigating the site. For example, if you are accessing the Wayfinder in a public place, an “Exit” button on every page of the Wayfinder allows you to quickly change what shows on your screen. The website produces only a temporary record of your visit so that the you can navigate the application, using the “breadcrumbs” directly below the logo to return to pages you have previously visited. This record is never reviewed by a UNM employee and will be automatically destroyed within one week.

There are other things you can do to protect your privacy:

  • Use the “incognito” setting on your browser: this prevents your browser from recording your visit to the site.
  • Adjust your settings to turn off sync, which prevents your browser from recording your History

Please note that when you leave the Wayfinder site to visit other UNM websites, those websites have different privacy settings, which you can view by [instructions needed here]. Please see UNM’s Information Privacy website for additional information on protecting your privacy while navigating UNM websites.
